Did he? How do you know?
Sometimes it's worth seeing the good in things, even when Bill's involvedvery tetchy there
having been left broken hearted after Moyes would it not have been wise of Bill to tighten up the contract?
Really, lighten your load

Not me broken hearted, Bill, was in tatters and didn't get a carrotbroken hearted after Moyes ? you should of been jumping for joy when that happened!!
Although it's encouraging that Kenwright has said he's trying to bring lukaku and Barry in, i do think he's better keeping quiet until the deals are done. He should leave the talking to Roberto IMO, which he has done for the most part to be fair.
In some people's eyes, that'll always be the case.To be fair though - he cant win - another two weeks and people would be getting all worked up and calling on him coming out and let the fans know whats happening on the transfer front.

I find it frustrating that any statement from the man will draw intense criticism, regardless.
I understand what you're saying. I wonder if those who are intent on slating every move the man makes are simply making their goal of "finding a new owner" more difficult ie. if someone knows they're going to be slated anyway, does it affect their decision making?I can see it from both angles mate, i think he sometimes gets to excited himself - the: "watch this space" and "we wont except anything but the best" comments are perfect examples of handing others sticks to beat him with.
In a general sense though and even though he comes across publically as fairly soft, id say hes NEA.
I don't think so. You hardly hear a word from most chairmen. Roberto has already made clear his targets have been identified. We just need to wait and see what happens now. At least the World Cup will make the time pass quicker now though. To be fair though - he cant win - another two weeks and people would be getting all worked up and calling on him coming out and let the fans know whats happening on the transfer front.

Would it also make potential buyers reluctant to come to us?
The main thing for me about the whole board issue is that one man cops for all the criticism. I appreciate he's a figurehead and that this may come with the territory.
I feel the board should, as a whole, 'put their hands in their deep pockets' and invest. It is this refusal from some board members that I would question. Indeed, hasn't Kenwright admitted this is a problem he has tried to solve?
The fact that one man is constantly (and a little unfairly I feel) vilified by some sections makes me a little uncomfortable, and that it's generally not criticism of the board èn massé.
Oh God, I've posted an essay in the board thread. By all means disagree, but please avoid the usual nastiness.
