We're not skint by virtue of the broadcasting revenues flooding into the Premiership.
However given the accumulated deficit from previous years and the lack of working capital the Board has to decide whether to invest in the playing squad or reduce debt.
The indications are that they're prepared to back the manager. However the situation would be so much easier if they, or someone else was allowed to provide the capital desperately required to keep up with bigger spending clubs.
The indications to me esk are that they are either
A) dragging there heels backing the manager or
B) willing to back the manager but he hasn't got a clue what or who he wants/needs.
I certainly don't think it currently looks like they are backing the manager by any stretch as personally it's just not acceptable that we are blatantly lacking in departments which are going to prove costly for the first 3-4 games.
Back him or sack him. Board are an embarrassment, pretty much like they have been for 25 years now because they certainly don't live up to the fans expectations and don't live up to the club motto.
