Last offical word was it will be compleated in the summer of 2012, the only people who said it wont are KEIOC, i imagine if true the local press would have been all over it. The club cant come out over every hotel, football quater jarg rumour that comes from the website of the good friends of the spirit of shankly.

Pretty much sums up the apologist mindset that mate.

You are an exemplar of that on here.

good luck to them. something needs to be done, thousands of evertonians handing over cash to watch a team and manager handicapped by kenwright & board year after year.

i'm not too sure how effective fan groups are against hard-nosed businessmen who own their clubs but it beats just sitting back and accepting this crap.

Yeah pretty much what i thought!

*Whistles! XX

You hate the Blue Union. Go and join the Red Union FFS!

I actually wouldn't mind seeing them do alright mate. But they need to answer them questions better or just ignore them and wish the other people well, I wouldn't engage them and focus on what I'm doing. Do that well enough and plenty will follow.

The againsts are pulling pants down all over the shop tbf:

I shall try to be somewhat more eloquent for those of a squeamish nature (despite apparently dealing with the hard of thinking in some cases)

1. The Blue Union – We have here a small group of media-aware supporters pushing their own agenda (they want Kenwright out by hook or by crook). They are not accountable to anybody, have exercised no significant presence at matches (the protest before the Chelsea game being a case-in-point: did it even happen?). They are using nomenclature suggesting they are representative of the people (i.e. the majority of fans). The lack of visible/audible protest of any note at Everton games being evidence of this (I couldn’t care less about non-match going Evertonian’s views).
Also, unless I’m mistaken: none of the people involved in these groups has experience in running a multi-million pound sporting concern. So how is your input going to help exactly? What is your vision for success that has somehow eluded the men running the club.
Amazingly, some even claim to have had previous ‘victories’ over BK, namely Kirkby. KEIOC claiming to have foiled the Kirkby Project is somewhat akin to Spike Milligan claiming to have brought down Hitler: they no doubt wanted it and played a miniscule rule but other factors actually decided the issues.

2. The campaign – so far two Kopite journalists have come out in support, both of whom with a record for antagonising Evertonians (remember Bascombe’s 3-0 report which didn’t use the word Everton?). The majority of the media, where they have commented at all, have portrayed the club as being sensibly run by decent men but hampered by the stadium issue/long-standing issues (some of them inherited from Spuddles). Prentice in the Echo wrote a positive piece on the club and was vilified for it. The media are not playing as there is no ‘smoking gun’ which would show BK & Co as dastardly mendacious fiends bleeding the club dry.

3. We don’t want a billionaire – sorry, but unless a billionaire/consortium takes charge we will continue to lag behind the clubs currently above us (ALL owned by billionaires). There is no other practical solution which will see us get the stadium/players needed to make a serious challenge. Or are people going to pump millions into us for little/no financial return or control?

4. Financial realities will dictate how and when we are sold, just as they did over the Park. Sell your scarves, make your statements, issue a manifesto and march. It will change absolutely nothing. Do you think these millionaires will walk away because a few fans have had the bedsheets out?

5. Events on the pitch will spark protest against Kenwright if at all. It will be spontaneous and sustained as it was against Johnson (remember the pathetic attempt at organised protest then?) should we have a sustained dip but will probably still change nothing.
We are consistently in the top 7. No, it’s not what we all want but the days of an open and level playing field are gone. Billionaires win leagues/the top four. Frustrating.
We are Everton: I was raised to believe that this meant supporting the club through thick and thin. It doesn’t mean using the club motto to beat the board/players over the head with. It doesn’t mean whingeing because we’re not winning. It doesn’t mean trying to drag the club’s name through the mud and provoke a crisis.
In short, we keep on keeping on.

We all love the blues. Just cheer the bastards on.

HA HA THE REBUTTAL:

Is it possible to mod the site and deal with the two who are undoubted trolls – Wooster and Walton?
Free speech by all means, but these whoppers are abusing it.
Cheers.

HA HA THE TRANSPERANCEY AND COMMUNICATION DIDNT LAST LONG!!!!!!!!

To be fair mate, they're on a hiding to nothing on the net. It only takes three or four people on the wind up to throw a spanner in the works. I've said before that I think these 'vanguardist' movements wont gain traction until the conditions are right...that time isn't now, though I understand the impulse in forming them.

If Everton dont improve on 7th this season and slip further off the pace they'll be in business. It's all results determined.

My response to them would be that they have their view which is different to ours so feel free to disregard the Blue Union or if they feel strongly about it then to set up their own pro board group, and wish them good luck.

Moral high ground secured and moving on. As it is they're scoring points.
