I despise the RS but ,though it sticks in my craw , their success is very beneficial to our city and region.
Having top level football teams is invaluable to any city, having a team win the premier club trophy associates the city with success.
Our bars, clubs and restaurants profit massively from the influx of rat- creatures every other week, which allows them to operate, expand and contribute to making our City a vibrant and desirable destination for people and businesses.
As has been noted above their CEO praised our prospective stadium for its benefits to our region.
It may be unpalatable but the economic strength of our City is far more important than football rivalries, however bitter, and any competent businessperson would be aware of this.

Agree as regards Kenwright from a board perspective.

DBB however has done an absolutely amazing job building EITC into the biggest charity on Merseyside, and you can't underestimate the amount of goodwill the club receives from those endeavours. Whether she should have been made CEO is another matter and the jury is still out in that regard. She does have a very positive attitude which is essential, but it's too early to dismiss her completely as you have done.

You have to accept that it's going to take a while to reverse the poor decisions that the club have made. It can't be done overnight. Brands is learning this on the playing side and DBB will be same on the non playing side.

If you want things to change overnight you are going to be disappointed.
 
I love the way some think that Kenwright just sits there as chairman with no say. He isn’t in an honorary role, he is chairman of the board of directors.

Having people like him, Woods and DBB around will not make us grow. We’re a stagnant mess of a club, and it is down to people like them.

Until Moshiri changes things, we will continue to stutter along doing nothing.

The state of our CEO calling us a high-achieving club. Even trying to put us on parity to a CL winner. It’s embarrassing.
 


Addition by subtraction. Harris has achieved nothing on the financing. All the work has been done by Sasha who wanted the fraud sent packing as he was meddling & getting in the way. Sasha had (has) a deal with a Japanese bank but Harris kept blagging he could get better in China. Multiple all expense paid first class trips. No deals. Time wasted. Other opportunities missed. This should help seal the funding package by stopping internal disruption.

Good to see the new owners getting shut of the "Friends to the club" who have done nothing but enjoy the ride.
