Trouble is as long as a team performs as poorly as ours has the last couple of years, then the fans will moan. As Eggs so eloquently put, blame the board for the managerial appointments, but you cant blame the board for backing their choices in the transfer market.

There are vested interests in the boardroom, which detract from an objective running of the club, in its best interests.
I struggle with the concept of how individuals like Elstone, Kenwright, and DBB could/can be retained whilst still expecting an upturn in fortunes.
We needed a fresh approach and a new mindset. With people who are used to managing and leading to achieve success, not the continuance of a managed decline.
What we have is compromise on all fronts. People will not dismiss themselves, and you cannot legitimately challenge others on their performance if everyone remains trapped in the same self-sustaining bubble.
There was talk of Bryan Gilvary being appointed as director. The Chief Financial Officer of BP. Can you imagine what someone of that background would make of the (mis)management of the club, particularly since 2016? There would be blood all over the floor.
It's no wonder people of that calibre don't come near the club, or more precisely, don't get asked.
It's the same old same old. A mishmash of Kenwright on one side and Moshiri on the other, such that we have misguided and muddled leadership which has been projected almost exactly into how things are run on the football side.
