I’ve noticed in the past 24 hours some fingers pointed at our fans for holding back the team. For example someone was cited the moaning and complaining when Everton try to play out from the back from the same people demanding Everton play better football. Someone said to me that Evertonians hold Everton hostage through their own entitled, impatience and aggression towards our players, and that there’s a peculiar need for Evertonians to rush to be first to write off their own players, particularly ruining the confidence of young scouse players whereas Anfield supports them and builds them up.

Personally I’m not sure I agree with all the above and point instead to Evertonians being sick of false dawns, and that these same fans grouped together to keep Everton in the Premier League last season.

Anyway thought this merited sensible debate. Poll attached.

I swear I sit next to the same bloke every match despite moving all around the ground. Everytime it's "This is crap" along with a load of expletives.

Yesterday I felt like the atmosphere was more like a game before Frank came in. We sat back wanting to be entertained instead of the bear pit we have produced to help us stave off relegation.

Yesterday was the first game I have been to this season, and the atmosphere was pretty dire compared to all the others I have been to previously.
But there wasn't much to get you going, the fact we couldn't string many decent passes together, win any balls, press effectively and our players seemed scared of theirs.
I think it works both ways, as fans we know our players can do better such as crystal palace. So to watch the absolute crap they served up yesterday it's hard to not feel disheartened and even harder to put on a brave face.
But that definitely does impact the team and maybe alot could be said for more songs and backing the team even when face with that
