I for one am of theopinion that much of our present frustration and problems, stems from the period from 2004 when the club was under the sole control of BK.Kings Dock was such a massive missed opportunity - BMD will still be a good stadium but feels like its come too little too late.
Throw in Kenwright turning down numerous buyers including Qatari interest during the infamous "24/7 investment search" im astonished how he wasn't chased out of town with pitchforks instead he was clapped on screen at Goodison by thousands of seals.
Its why I have no time for people blubbering about the Benitez appointment being Everton "losing its soul" you had your chance to have removed the poison from the club years ago but instead backed the bloke & turned on the Blue Union and fellow supporters.
It is not credible for him to state that within that period, he was unable to find a suitable investor. It seems he could not find one who would allow him to remain.
As a result we became a more disgruntled fanbase through the lack of progress. When Moshiri took control, I speculate that he was aware of fan expectation and in order to deliver, rushed decisions which in hindsight have impacted upon our progress.
The appointment of Rafael Benitez is the result of these events. There had to come a time when our long term mismanagement was addressed and brought about our present position.
