Bored, sniff it.

Frank favours a 4-3-3, with 2 full backs, a deep lying number 10 playmaker flanked by 2 box to box midfielders, with 2 attacking wingers and a "number 9".

Using the current players in the squad, it would look like this :

Robles
Coleman - Stones - Jags - Baines
McCarthy - Barkley - Besic
Geri - Lukaku - Mirallas

Some players he "may" bring with him.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Viktor_Fischer
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Riechedly_Bazoer
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jasper_Cillessen
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jaïro_Riedewald
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arkadiusz_Milik
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Davy_Klaassen

And hopefully this fella.

Frank is a clever man, this is what his squad will look like, if their name aint down, Frank hasnt let them in, only "first team players" will be named :

GK
Robles
Cillessen

RB
Tete
Coleman

LB
Baines
Oviedo
Garbutt

CB
Stones
Mori
Jags
Riedwald

CM
McCarthy
Bazoer
Besic
Cleverley

DLP
Barkley
Klaassen

RW
Mirallas
Lennon
Geri

LW
Niasse
Fischer

CF
Lukaku
Millik
Tarashaji

Now clearly Ajax arent gonna let us mug off half their team, so in certains areas we would need to shop elsewhere. Now I know theres certain players missing and we will struggle to get rid of some of them, others not so much.

The noticeable name missing is Gareth Barry, who is a superb player, but I cant see him "fitting" into Franks system so could see him taking a little move to the US or China, the rest are fairly pony and I would just get rid of them all on a free.

Depending on our luck in getting rid of McGeady, Kone and the ilk, maybe we could add a little more creativity in the middle of the park alongside the Bosnian Zidane, Franks First 11 will look like this :

Cillessen
Tete - Stones - Riedelwald - Baines
Bazoer- Barkley - Besic
Geri --------------------Fischer
Lukaku

Hi Goat,

I'm usually a big fan of your work. I've read through your musings, and think you should go to bed early tonight.

Thanks.

Bored, sniff it.

It's all about Mourinho or De Boer now and nothing less will do. Pellegrini is too old to inspire the likes of Stones and Barkley or to feel Everton's values. It would only lead to more disappointment.

Glad this thread was made.

I reckon De Boer would easily get us and keep us top 6 with threats for titles or CL glory dependant on the size of the project. I also feel Mourinho would do the same, and the fact nobody would expect Everton to win the league while we make brilliant strides under Jose, would be a factor in the club's favour.

De Boer or Mourinho, are the only acceptable solutions to the problem of pushing Martinez out.

If Mourinho belileves in Everton, then he's the man for the job, if he wants to keep his options open in the next 18 months, then let's focus on quality and in somebody younger who may bring us even better success, and his name is Mr Frank De Boer.

He's not too old ffs. Stop that nonsense all of you.

Martinez is more suited to Everton than Pellegrini. Pellegrini may want a new job and want to stay in the Prem, do a respectable job, but David Moyes did a respectable job. We need a Jose Mourinho or a Frank De Boer.

I will give you that that De Boer would 'suit ' better than Pellegrini BUT we dont yet know IF Mosh wants to change clubs approach on things. De Boer would be a project, Pellegrini would be stature appointment

I agree with the prominent poster @davek that moshiri would want to wield little influence in terms of managerial change currently.

It is up to Kenwright and his likes to make this change. Pellegrini is just safe, and stupid. De Boer is indicative of change, as is Mourinho.

Will come in handy, i'm sure Martin O'neill will take this thread on board when he arrives.
