This makes not one single scrap of sense.
Excuse my ignorance as I am just a simple soul from the land of the bogs but why has it took Friedkin 6 weeks to realise that 777 were owed 200 million and they might want it back?

What are you talking about. He quite literally owns the football club, he IS Everton. He owns the business and he has taken on the £400m debt. The debt number wouldn’t have been £400m if he had sold the club to normal people last year, so how has he saved himself any money?
