My guess

Moshiri accepts Friedkins bid initially , Friedkin "see's the books " offers a reduced bid. Moshiri declines .
Textor see's his chance ( with a lower bid )
starts the wheels in motion.

Friedkin gets wind of Textors bid .

Friedkin prepares to match that bid and can conclude it much quicker on better terms.

I think this is probably a pretty good guess. This news doesnt advantage Textor to leak it, or Moshiri if Textor is exclusive, which leads me to believe its more likely to be genuine.

You never get the full truth until later, and Friedkin truly wanting to buy but attempting to re-negotiate makes a lot of sense. They may have something in their loan terms giving them a certain right to match until the new bidder(Textor) hits a certain point. Now that it looks to them like Textor is close to completing the deal they have to move now, on whatever best terms they were able to get by the delay.

Both will spend crazy to think friedkin would not have a plan aswell, textor has talked alot but doee not mean his plan is any better than friedkin. Just have to wait to see who takes the club over, not going say your wrong is fair for any fan to prefer textor/friedkin for me. Hopefully we get more for friedkin if it is true
