ITs ok, most of us dont know what it means, so it will never catch on.Worst thing about this entire thing is the word “tranche” being made a regular part of forum lexicon.
Yeah I try not to come in here too much in case I get Tranche foot.Worst thing about this entire thing is the word “tranche” being made a regular part of forum lexicon.

No reputable lender will lend Moshiri the amount to pay off all existing debts into one consolidated loan mate, especially so when the value of that total loan would actually exceed the cost of what it's secured against - the stadium.
I'm not saying that the club will definitely be able to secure the finance it needs with Moshiri still at the helm but if we were looking to secure circa £650m then that wouldn't exceed the value of the stadium. It's costing us circa £750m to build and if we started the same project tomorrow it would cost in excess of £1bn at todays prices. We could also offer security over other things than just the stadium such as the playing squad, other property, future TV money etc. Bascially the same security we are using now with other lenders.
All that being said, it will ultimately come down to revenue. Security is somewhat immaterial if we aren't making enough money to pay back the loan.
