Why would anyone want one of the most successful managers of all time, trophy winner at almost every club he’s been at (and Spurs sacked him before a final in the one club he didn’t win at). It’s not gone perfectly for him at every club and he definitely burns out after a few seasons but if he delivered silverware would anyone care?

Its highly unlikely and speculative but I think he’d be the force of nature we need to drag us back upwards and go to war with some of the other clubs
Mourinho was a great manager but now he's a busted flush who causes chaos and confrontation everywhere he goes

Yep no need for considered planning or analysis, straight in there promising big things without thinking any of it through.

It worked so well last time.
Given they already sacked De Rossi at Roma, and Thelwell and Dyche performing so appallingly I’m sure they’re already planning and analysing.

Like it or not watching the EPL live is not a working man’s pursuit these days
Sad words but completely true.

As for this takeover, I feel a bit of optimism for the financial future of our club. And Dyche must surely be wary that the same owners binned off the Roma manager for underwhelming results. By that yardstick he should be packing his bags already.

I suppose a positive way of looking at it is - say Dyche is there until Jan - at least we may have money to spend for a new manager.

Some of the people on the waiting list will be.
While price gouging is unpalatable, this ‘industry’ is very much in the supply and demand world now.

All hail the Freidkin Group. The people who finally took it watching Everton out of the hands of its supporters.

I'm sure it'll all be worth it though.

...Burn the sentimental, stuck-in-the-1970s, backward-looking, underachieving, mediocrity-encouraging, "He gets us", fan culture of this club to the ground.
The other one I used to hate was 'He knows the club', i.e every time a manager was under threat...

'Give it big Dunc! Knows the club, he'd get the players running through brick walls blah blah blah...'

No idea why a manager needs to 'know the club' before being appointed

Only European trophy at United post Ferguson. First and only domestic cup final for Spurs since 2008. First European trophy for Roma for absolutely ages.

He does breed chaos and confrontation but frankly this club needs shaking up and it needs silverware so if he below himself out in 3 years and fell out with everyone but ended the trophy drought I’d be more than happy with that.
