The club had a payment to laing O,Rough to pay .
As agreed in the structured payments,
it was paid this week.
They don't pay it all in one lump sum.
Suppose you could say they havnt finished paying for it,
if you wanted to.
Suppose the final payments will be when it's signed off.

He's misled the fans and shareholders on this on at least two separate occasions

if it were true why are Friedkin Group having to provide additional "operational and stadium financing" ... as of yesterday.

I'll tell you why. Because the claims of the club from the likes of Colin Chong are - misleading and untrue

Also Colin Chong was wrong to claim that the financing was to a "plan".

It clearly wasn't. If it were Moshiri would not be described as a "distressed seller" by Aliya Capital in their investment brochure

Things going according to a "plan" (Colin Chong, October 2023) wouldn't lead to the owner being a "distressed seller". By definition.

You might be correct, but the evidence of your statement is based on inference and assumption.

Also, a plan can change between October 2023 and October 2024 - but as you've quoted "plan" without any context as to what the "plan" was referencing it's hard to take it seriously, even if you have attributed it to Colin Chong, October 2023.

Nor should you, we are being provided with a 5* state of the art home that needs paying for. Like anywhere, if you want top class facilties it doesn't come cheap.
I fully agree, if he came in and offered cheaper prices I would be questioning his business acumen straight away. People pay over the top in the fanzine and ground we have now, I’d expect to be paying more in a brand new ground with better facilities. I would be expecting a decent pint though.

Colin Chong specifically mentioned in October 2023 that the stadium financing was to a "plan"

They've made claims multiple times that have been proven to be false.

As for the specific point, it's not going to be possible to prove that the stadium financing is now being completed by Friedkin Group unless either they or the club accounts prove it.

Because Friedkin Group have come in and provided money to complete the financing.

They knew this by making the statements they have. When they made them. Like Donald Trump, they make claims on the basis that they hope people won't find out

I'm led to believe that there was £60 million outstanding in stadium financing that Friedkin Group are now paying to complete the "stadium financing" ...

One thing I do know. I don't trust a word out of Colin Chong's mouth. Terminological inexactitudes.

….having a drink at the match is clearly important to some but I wonder what % of fans have a pint.

I like my drink but I honestly don’t ever remember having one inside Goodison. A few before and a few after, plastic or paper cups and lack of Guinness maybe contributing factors for me never even giving it a thought.

Similar here. That said, far better facilities, decent beer at non-rip off prices in half decent surroundings without queueing? I'm in.
