Bit more here on her short time at Roma, background, qualifications and role as a director in the ECA.

She sounds eminently qualified but not sure why such an intelligent and wealthy person would want to uproot their family to take on our basket case of a club .

But if she does then it , on face value , looks an excellent appointment.

Intelligent , extremely well qualified and significant experience of CEO at clubs and organizations. Equally importantly someone that our new owners trust.

But , I still don't really understand why she would take the role.

Maybe she finds the prospect of interacting with the supporters of EFC intriguing?

In fairness, I think this takeover - coupled with the new stadium - makes us an ideal club to take on now.

She knows the Friedkins, she was desperate to get Roma a new ground so understands the importance of that - and the ceiling for success in the Premier League is much higher than Serie A.

Maybe it's more the chance to work with the TFG again and to be a CEO in arguably the biggest sports league in the world.

We all know that our stock has falling of late but the Friedkins obviously see our potential and so might she.

Hopefully these appointments will set us on a track to were we want to be again.

In this day and age would she have to completely uproot her family? Not like she’d have to be sat at a desk at the Liver building 9-5 Monday- Friday

Part of the reason she resigned from Roma, was Roma fans turned up at her sons school mate, so she might mate.

It's a fair question. One would hope it's based on personal drive and ambition. She has a hybrid legal/economics/sports business background so in that sense she is indeed very qualified.

My personal preference is that TFG would look to recruit specifically for Everton roles and based on Everton's specific needs, but the reality is that a lot of appointments are made from within the existing stable so it will not be a surprise if she gets it.

I wouldn't have any concerns if it turns out to be her having had DBB, whose qualifications and background bore no relevance to the job.

More generally I am really looking forward to having competent and capable people running the club. You have to go back to the 80s since that was last the case.

I still cannot believe that we have been run in such a backward and amateur way for almost 40 years. I mean I was a child back then. Who would have thought that having professionals running the club and taking it forward would have turned out to be such a huge ask?

If this works out, even modestly, we won't know we're born. Or reborn.
