I note a lot of support for Thelwell to stay in place.

Well, the question we should be asking is: if the DoF job was advertised tomorrow by the Friedkins, would Kevin Thelwell be the outstanding candidate?

Just as Sean Dyche will, inevitably, leave the club at some point over the next nine months, I'd expect a similar timeline for Thelwell's continued employment.

Even if one credits Thelwell for doing a respectable job in the current circumstances, the reality is those circumstances will soon change. Just as Dyche is not being considered for a contract extension despite keeping our heads above water in extenuating circumstances, I don't see why Thelwell should be. Because they have been a team, a pair in this. And thank God they were. They deserve credit. But if we think Dyche should be replaced, I think similar must apply to Thelwell - or else a lot of this is mere PR and personal prejudice.

I hope we have a new manager and new DoF - if that is the model the Friedkins follow - by next June.

The club needs a complete reboot.

I doubt Thelwell had much say in appointing Dyche.
As far as I can see, Dyche and thelwell have different football philosophies
No, I dont think the Friedkins would appoint Thelwell but I do think they might keep him in place during a lot of change.
Both thelwell and Dyche have done everything asked of them.
In Dyches case, I cant stand the football (or the guy anymore)
In Thelwells case, I'd be ok with him being kept in place during a lot of change.

Yeah, I differ from you on Thelwell.

I want both out and a reboot. These guys would never be appointed by the Friedkins if their jobs were advertised, so I see no point in keeping them on when their use to us has passed. That should be no later than next June, in my book.

I think Thelwell has done a fine job (not great, fine), but wouldn't be bothered if he was moved on.

Thelwell wanted coreberan apparently

I'd honestly like nothing more than both Dyche and Thelwell to be retained.
That will mean they are getting success and that's all I care about for Everton.
Should be changed even if we go on a winning streak, he’s not up to the job long term, nir is Thelwell, you also need to think
About players wanting to play for him, like we never get Onana if dyche was manager

They're linked with appointing the head of Coca-Cola Italy as Roma's new CEO.

I think we can be reasonably confident that we'll have a decent board with no jobs for mates.

It's interesting that they are going to be scouting for a CEO for both Roma and Everton pretty simultaneously you'd think. Assuming they are not going to retain Colin Chong in the role, that is.

They don't mess around, they appoint people with earned reputations mate

Wouldn't shock me to see the lady who left Roma be one our new CEO mate.
