Couple of different Pairs of polarised aviators off amazon, for about £15 each.
Regular ones and some mirrored ones, so i can pretend I am in an 80s movie.

I would honestly never pay silly.money for a pair of sunglasses with someone's name on them.
Intact that goes for the vast majority of things I buy.

I got a pair of Oakley about 9/10 years ago, just got them reglazed to my new prescription, look as good as new.
I still have my Oakley C Wires I use at work from about 13 years ago. Fantastic frames. Absolutely rock solid, without weighing a metric tonne. Been dropped, stood on, sat on, and still exactly the same shape as when I bought them. Replaced the lenses at least three times now - Oakley haven't made them for years, so have them custom made non polarised (so I can see the screens on the aeroplane) by a company in Australia who seem to be the only place to get them done, strangely. Pretty lame style wise - I've been accused of looking like someone who has indecent images on their hard drive whilst wearing them numerous times. But who cares.

You think this is bad, you should visit 'The Watches Thread' !!
Now I'm right up with the times. When I was a kid I had a massive thing about watches. Loved them. When I became an adult I realised there were other ways if telling the time like clocks and phones that didn't rattle around and chafe my wrist. Now I'm retired I don't give can arse about the time or date and am grateful I didn't have to work longer to afford fancy pointless baubles like watches.

Living in a near permanently sunny country and being on or around water for a large proportion of that, good quality sunglasses are pretty essential.

For about 10 to15 years I've used a brand called Maui Jim, and they've genuinely got the best lenses I've ever had in sunglasses and wouldn't buy anything else. Well made (I've had one pair absolutely ages) and available in a variety of styles (even somebody with a massive head like me can find something suitable)

To be honest , the prices these days you might be better off just buying a golden retriever
This is a valid argument.

used to go through a couple of pairs a year, lost most of them whilst being drunk!
prefer to get what limited sun we get in the uk in my eyes now,
iv read alot of research that it helps with improved circadian rhythm, sleep patterns, vitamin d intake, mood and general mental health.

Due to the success of my other thread asking for aftershave suggestions I thought I'd now extend it to lovely pairs of shades for the summer.

This way I can look like a [Poor language removed] as well as smelling like a whore's handbag.

So, give it to me- who are you wearing on your face these days???

(Yes @Kurt. we know, you're wearing my Ma)
