the decision in the French lad's semi final was as perverse as this, the Croat lad battered him and still lost

He was absolutely battered in the first round of that fight, but the 3 judges gave him the round.
I knew the British boxer was never going to win.

Credit where credit is due GB were magnificent..........to beat a country the size of China to the second place is just amazing.......

looks like the judges dont care if a boxer is on the front foot in a bout its all about the clean shots, most of joyce shots were hitting pads whereas the french boxers jabs were connecting because of how aggressive joyce was he wasn't defending himself too much getting caught on a few occassions.

still thought joyce did enough to clearly win that first round though.
