Cancellara would be a very deserving winner. His final year hasn't really gone to plan, but this would be a nice sign off to an incredible career.

Cancellara has been my favourite rider since Pantani so chuffed to see him round off his career with an Olympic gold. Fair play to Froome for getting a bronze, hopefully he'll give the Vuelta a good go later this month. Was a complete masterclass by Cancellara though. Good effort by Thomas to get 9th too.

Massive from Cancellera - great finish to his career. Froome dug in well and has to be happy with bronze.

Reckon Dennis might have got bronze if not for that snapped tri-bar. His mechanic will be getting some feedback there I reckon.
