I tried but given my voice vaccilates between growls and wheezes it's perhaps not as effective as either of us would hope. If you can imagine Compo coming on to you you're probably not a million miles off.

Yes definitely. It's roasting here for months. I was on the beach Saturday and all the Spanish kids are up and playing, swimming in the sea at 1am. They have siesta because you can't really go outside so everything starts late. It's fiestas now too so there's just music playing all through the night until 8am. It's not unusual for the young kids to be out until 3am playing round here. Most people just take 3 weeks off in August and go mental. It's a truly wonderful place

That's the thing, countries used to heat develop their social rhythms around it and have appropriate infrastructure.

This is why it all falls over in Britain, we've been used to the absolute middle of the road weather. So it hasn't been worth investing or changing. If this does become the norm, I suspect we'll be forced to.

Friend of mine who works in the air ambulance has been up on the roof helipad earlier activating the fire sprinkler systems to cool it down so it doesn't melt.
