I have the utmost respect for the NHS. I have no respect for any Doctor or Nurse that goes on strike. The U.K. military cannot go on strike and neither should the NHS. I would give them a 10% pay rise but write into all contracts a no strike clause. Removing support for vulnerable and sick people is a disgrace and those involved should be ashamed and question why they are even involved in medicine…..
You should ask yourself what has driven nurses, doctors, teachers, barristers, judges, transport workers etc to WANT to strike. Why would they choose to lose days and weeks of pay in protest? What do they all have in common? A corrupt, disinterested, inept bunch of sociopathic, selfish, greedy money grabbers called a tory government which is where the buck stops.

This happens every time the bovine herd are convinced to vote for the loons en masse. We will never learn.

Well most of them are paid via the Public Purse and have absolutely no fear of being made redundant, losing their job or their place of work being closed, while also knowing that a generous pension awaits them at the end of their working lives. If they feel their jobs are underpaid then go and join a private company and receive all the riches they feel they deserve. I wonder how many of them have ever done so ?……..

Typical out of touch tory. Do one.

No you aren't. Tory.

Look, a bit of advice, if you wish to join the kool gang clique with trumpety and co you need to be a bit more subtle and nuanced. Just shouting look he’s a Tory doesn’t really do it. Step back from the keyboard for a day or two, have a think, relax a bit and remember there’s far more to life ……

Nearly 47,000 vacancies and 40,000 the profession left in a 12 month period as of June 2022 suggests many are leaving. Probably one of the reasons why those left feel compelled to act.

That's just nurses.

But Joey is right, this is the Coronation thread…..

My missus left working in a school as a technician to work in the private sector. Within 3 months she was out earning me as the head of the biggest department in a state school that was top 50 in the country. It had taken me 20 years to get to that stage!

This is why they ARE leaving. This is why there is a crisis in the NHS, for staff, this is why waiting lists are enormous, its why teachers can't he found. The government are happier to spend millions on ad agencies and media to recruit teachers than they are to make the job suitably remunerated. Of course its the same media who convince simpletons that they must vote tory - so there's an undeclared but very obvious interest there.

But I’m correct though aren’t I……
No you are not. You're just someone who thinks he's smart, but you are actually a 'smart-arse', who pontificates about things he has no knowledge of, or interprets things in such a way that he is totally wide of the mark.

Let's examine you latest pile of merde:
1)Well most of them are paid via the Public Purse
2)have absolutely no fear of being made redundant, losing their job or their place of work being closed
3)while also knowing that a generous pension awaits them at the end of their working lives.

1) That's a statement of the bleedin' obvious, as they are employed by central Government to carry out the business of keeping the various Government Departments running.
2) Actually do some research, and you will find that redundancy is an ongoing thing, going back to when I was employed. Go check the statistics from 2010 when the Tories came to power and see how they slaughtered the numbers in the civil service. You haven't a clue, you're just shooting out words, and missing by a mile.
3) Do you have a civil service pension? If not, what makes you think it is generous? There was no provision to 'opt-out' when I joined - the Government decided upon the %age contribution from your wages, and that was it. It may be generous for those in the highest echelons of the civil service (i.e. the 'Oxbridge' graduates who 'start at the top and work their way up'. In other words the Tory gobeens who are chums of the top strata of society), but those in the highest echelons are a very tiny minority compared to the actual working base of the service.

To sum up: another totally incorrect Tory diatribe from Toryboy...
