Hello lads. Can I ask how you think this thread has gone in the past week or so?

Honest feedback only please lads.

Been swerving it mostly over the past fortnight, don't wanna get told off by someone.

You're on US time, so you'll be ready when you emigrate to the States. Usually it's just the Americanos and Aussies/Kiwis on at this time of night, so good to have a new show to tune into.

During your travels to the US, what's the thing you liked the best and thing you liked the least about our fair shores?

Go on then, I'll throw my 2 cents in just to add another perspective:

Bad Stuff:

• Cost of Milk & Bread - Milk = $4.00/gallon WTF! Bread $3.00 for a loaf.
• Bread in general - ok you can buy semi decent stuff now, but you can keep a regular loaf in your pantry for 2 weeks and still eat it! Stacked full of preservatives.
• Drivers - certainly Texas. Some of the worst I've ever seen. The amount of people texting and driving is ridiculous!

Good Stuff:

• Food! Although no Taco Hell! From Steaks (USDA) to Mexican they have it all! Top notch meat!
• Climate - great for 9m of the year - terrible in Summer tho - too damn hot!
• Travel - the ability to just jump in your car and be able to drive to some of the most amazing places is something I've never experienced before - Colorado, Florida, Vegas, California, New York. Ok it's no doubt easier to fly but even so...
• The people - definitely some of the friendliest folks I've encountered - ain't that right #TexasBill! Example - I was driving my family to the in-laws, car broke down (head gasket blew) - within one hour - we had around 6 different people stop to ask us if we were alright. One family turned right around, ran to the gas station and bought us all ice cold drinks as it was the middle of summer and scorching hot!
• Cost of living - this is only applicable in certain states - Texas being one of them - property prices are crazy low. Property taxes are high ($6,600/yr) but all in a bloody good deal.
