980 on a new CAT and downpipe for my honda years ago. I still shed a painful tear and wince slightly when thinking of that.
I've also bought a Novation Nova and Roland JV1080 second hand from a music shop in one purchase years ago. They were about a grand with some midi cables and 2 8x8 looms.
I know you said no holidays, but paying for my "book" of plane tickets to fly round the world was pretty fekking expensive. That was almost 2 grand.
Oh, putting 2 kids through nursery together for a few years is pretty expensive too. £31 each child per day for 4 days a week(yes you even pay on public holidays). Think thats about 13k a year.
Must stop now. Thinking of how much money I've spent is making me feel ill :S

Less a holiday than, um, a passage to enlightenment, the £15k I spent cumulatively traveling around the world. If that doesn't count it would probably be my classic custom Les Paul and Orange amp for around £3000.
