I thought 'gangs of new york' and 'shutter island' were dreadful. Like someone sat and wrote a load of nonsense specific to combine a stellar cast before any ideas for em were thought through.
Di Caprio is suffering from over saturation exposure. Needs a few choice low budget off the rails type stories, in fact a couple of comedies would be great. See if his timing holds up.

I wonder how his career would have turned out if he had not turned down the role of Anakin Skywalker.
