I don’t really know a lot of the new wave of actors coming in but I cannot stand the Rock and anything I’ve seen him in has been atrocious. I’m not sure he’s rated to begin with though.

Orlando Blooms a bit crap also, nice bloke though.

Strange the actresses aspect, a few burn bright for a bit then fade quick. Someone has called out the Shakespeare crew, but they seem to have the longevity.

With actresses its different, as you say the longevity tends not to be there. They're almost always primarily eye candy, with a respectable male co lead or strong support. The vile spectre of Streep notwithstanding.

The 90s was a strong era for female leads in straight roles, bullock, roberts etc. but nearly always alongside a big male name.

I don’t think people like The Rock are overrated because you have to be rated to begin with. I enjoy a lot of his action films because they’re fun but he’s obviously an average actor.

Wouldn't that then also apply to Keanu Reeves?

If we're going TV, I'm gonna have to throw Mr Ken Barlow himself, Bill Roache out there. Proper one trick pony and cant even do that well.

To be fair he only really acted in one show so can't really judge him for anything else

He's also very good in the last king of Scotland. I enjoyed him in Ghost Dog and Bird too.
