Maybe it can? We just need a better asst manager, Not sodding Round! I really don't know why Irvine isn't asst manger again, he was great when he was here

dont know why people are having a go at Round, blame lies with the person giving the instructions, or make that the non instructions

Look at the differences in our game play and results that coincidentally started when Irvine left and Round was appointed

To be honest i dont think much has changed.

Alot of people are still thinking about our little bad patch after Irvine left us, and the majority of people blamed Round. Yet when everything starts to go well he doesnt get a mention.

The football hasn't changed.

It's because Round is a trouble maker, he goes around attempting to seduce some of the players wives and threatening to knock out the younger players.
Neville and Cahill have both nearly come to blows with Round over it, the only reason he's not been sacked is because we can't afford to terminate his contract.

Yes this is complete bollocks

That's what I heard too......

I can't understand why we employ people like round or Irvine when you see the likes of Gary Neville, Jamie Redknapp and their kind just doing punditry. Obviously they are bang on with tactics and how to play the game ....why not try and get one of these in as a number 2.... new ideas and someone for Moyes to bounce his ideas off.

"I understand that almost all managers fail. Our current manager has been more successful than average given our net spend. Statistically speaking if we fire our current manager and replace him the most likely outcome is the new manager will fail and be fired within 2-4 years. I realize that Bill Kenwright, a person most of wouldn't trust to make us a sandwich with no filling, will be the person choosing the new manager. I realize there is a chance we will get relegated. However I am so sure Moyes is the wrong person that I am willing to take all those calculated risks." I said it. I'd rather take that risk in trying to better ourselves than spend every season starting off shoite, finishing well, and bottling it in the games that really matter (cup finals/derbies etc).
Fair enough. As I said I don't agree -- as much as Distin might dislike it, as much as NSNO types might be horrified, a club with our resources could very easily get relegated with a wrong choice at manager -- I do respect the fact that you're saying that. Out of interest, what do you think the odds are that BK would find us a manager who could do better? I'd accept "better" as being defined as either better in the league, winning a Cup, or even as being in no danger of relegation (13th spot up) but playing more attractive football more consistently.
Higher your expectations people, we live in a world where one man can take 1000 Jews from a death camp to safety in 180 minutes of blissful cinema...we're Everton FFS.
LOL ... the actual event itself tends to inspire me more than the overrated movie but kudos on the attempt ... mental.
Maybe the answer is getting rid of Rounds and appointing a new number 2 who has a diffrent style to Moyes
Sure thing. I think it's difficult to make it work if they're too different but a new voice at least providing the ideas for DM to accept or dismiss might help.

I would first like to clarify that I do not think everton will go down like all disgraceful media claim.
But I do think its a bit ridiculous that some fans want him out. Football's an emotional game, when things don't go your way, you tend to forget the bigger picture.

For the person saying "they would rather risk relegation than have the whole start **** and lose cup finals and derbies"
I honestly thing that's easier said. Would you honestly want to be in a position like west ham? Blackburn?
I can almost guarantee you would regret that statement and lick moyes' arse begging him to come back.

The premier league is a money league, you have to spend consistently to achieve success. Something everton can't do at the moment. Now I do not know very much on the financial situation at everton but what if you went through two quick managerial changes. What if the current players don't buy into the new managers playing style? He brings in his set of players, results don't go their way and he gets sacked. Then another manager, those are all nails in the relegation coffin.

I actually look at the situation at arsenal a bit and laugh. They were calling for his head months ago, I would have loved to see the look on their faces.

Now if you havnt noticed, I am not an eveton fan but I have a very soft spot for them and want them to win 36 of their games. But I would say moyes has been successful. You've been in europe, you've been to wembly and that's far more than most fans can claim.
Maybe when the financial situation gets sorted, if ever, more people will ubderstand.

Funny, I remember when Charlton were in the Prem and their fans were tired of finishing mid table. One media type who was a Charlton fan, said that other supporters had told them they'd rather be involved in a relegation battle than just play out the string in mid table every year. Well they got it didn't they?

Welcome and a good first post. One I personally do agree with.
