But it doesn't remain valid. Something that was the case over 100 years ago cannot be used in the present tense now. Ireland is not a home nation. It was over a hundred years ago but like many geographies in the world, they have changed over time. There is no longer a Czechosolavika, no longer a Yugoslavia, Hong Kong is no longer part of the UK, and the African countries are no longer colonies of France and The Netherlands.

But it was nice to be reminded of Bosko Balaban though, at least?

I didn't write the original post and I'm now distracted - I certainly agree that there is no longer a Czechoslovakia, don't let those rascals in Bratislava try to tell you otherwise.

I tried saying it a lot nicer. This nest of vipers, barrel of clowns, hive of bumhats, is merciless currently, there's been a slaying and it's hurt us all. A sacrifice was always on the cards and thus after the comps vanished into the shadows.

It's quite sad that someone says they support another club but also states multiple times that Everton is their 2nd team and likes to talk on a football forum but the responses from many (not all, lots of the posters on here are great) are so abusive. What is it with people that they feel it is acceptable to act like that on the internet? I am just another person, I am married, I have kids and I love football, I am sure like many on here. Would you show your partners or kids the posts you have sent me? I doubt it as you would be embarrassed by them. I have my opinions and I discuss them with people. We can agree or disagree and we can be polite and respectful to each other. It really is amazing what happens to people when you give them the anonymity of the internet.
