Stadium looks boss, plus another excuse to goto Vegas now.

NFL games are awful spectator sports, at least at home you can change the channel during TV timeouts. Go to a college game, sure the games are longer but the fans are better and there are about twice the amount of plays in a college game.

I've only the past year or so watched a few college games.

Have'nt been to a NFL game live yet, on the bucket list to goto US Bank Stadium to see Vikings play

Game of inches. Like maybe 3. Weird to be 11-5 and 4-4 at home. Might make some noise in the playoffs.

That 15 yard run by Lynch was fun.

That said the coaches have to sort out a better offense. Falling behind 13-0 at home and looking inept at the same time is so frustrating.

Congrats to the Niners.

Think we will meet again on the Divisional round.

Nothing between the 2 sides.

I guess like the prem, NFL games were great in the 70-80s. The stadiums may have been toxic waste dumps but they were intimate and extremely loud. Today its more corporate, tickets are more expensive and the crowds have a bunch of older people. NFL games do have their share of drunken dopes. Its just they generally aren't loud and obnoxious. They keep to themselves and politely throw up in your nachos.

The TV timeouts while you are at a game are a scourge. Sometimes 2-3 plays are run and everybody is just standing around for 3-5 min. Its so annoying. Oh you don't like VAR (maybe you do dunno)? We invented VAR (granted in this aspect college is even worse). Now every big play is examined more intensely than crime scene video.

That being said the Vikings do admittedly do have good fans so you'll have a good time, its probably one of the 5-6 best places to watch a game (best stadium - a Chargers game as an away fan because its usually only about 10-20% Charger fans and the stadium is small). Also Minnesota is now a decent college team + a good new outdoor stadium. If they have a conference game (don't go when they play chum) it might be a thing you want to do while you are in Minneapolis on a saturday if you have a chance.

I've been watching this sport for 40+ years now, so I know a little. So its time for predictions (which I'll redo next week after I get all the Wild card games wrong).

AFC:

Wild Card:

Titans over Pats - Titans offense is just clicking and they can put 30 on the Pats D. They might have the most balanced offense in the league so Bill B. isn't really going to be able to take out say their best player because they got a bunch of guys on offense. Pats could win though, because the Titan's D is gutter trash and might be able to keep their offense off the field by running for 200 yards. Its just the Pats just seem worn out these days, they have traditionally played their best football in Nov-Dec and that's not the case this year.

Houston over Bills - both teams are bit schitzo, in which you never know which is going to show up. Just have Houston because they are at home and have DeShaun.

Divisional

Ravens over Titans - I actually think the Titans match up well w/ them, especially if they can turn it into a shootout. Its just the Ravens are rested and at home. Plus they'll run all over them.

Chiefs over Houston - Chiefs have quietly been playing great football as of recent. It doesn't seem like last year where they need to score 38 to get a W. Houston plays them tough tho and its a close game.

Championship
Chiefs over Ravens - the Chiefs came close last year, this year I think they go over the hump. I think the one team the Ravens would love to avoid is them. The Raven's D is secretly not that great (granted they aren't horrible either its just Lamar keeps them off the field) and the chiefs just went up and down the field on them in the regular season matchup.

NFC

Wild Card

Seattle over Philly - Philly is injured everywhere (seattle too but less so) and their D is kinda terrible. Still its a close game because Seattle lets everybody hang around.

Saints over Vikings - Cook is banged up, its in NO and the Saints are really really good indoors. Vikings have talent and it wouldn't be megahugeupset if they win. just can't see it.

Divisional

Saints over GB - Just having cold weather won't stop the saints. GB needs a blizzard and wind. If not Thomas and Kamara combine for 250.

49ers over Seattle - just thought the 49ers were a better team even when Seattle beat them.

Championship

49ers over Saints - if the 49ers are a 5 seed no way I pick them to go to the SB. Its just the field will be terrible and the 49ers have more players who are better in sloppy conditions.

Super Bowl

Chiefs over 49ers - close game, its just Chiefs were deep and close in last year's playoffs and as I said before are just know how to win even when Mahomes isn't throwing for 5TDs/game this year.
