nah he was slotted at the end of the 1st-early 2nd round and a very raw talent. Seattle just coached him up well and has a QB who can throw deep, accurate, easy to catch loaves of bread. If say he's picked by the Pats instead of K'Neal Harry and he's w/ now limited Brady, I think their roles are somewhat reversed. More of a right pick, right team situtation.

A lot of what you say is true. Remember though we got him with the last pick in the 2nd round. Definitely fell further than expected.

I would also think he'd have been the perfect fit in New England. Their biggest problem is they didn't have anyone to stretch the coverage. The last couple of years that was Gronk up the seam. They didn't replace that threat so teams just double teamed Edelman and shut down their offense.

I really wanted to laugh at the Cowboys hiring McCarthy but then the New York Football Giants happened.

@Connor is there any reason NYFG fans should be excited about Judge as their coach?
I could be missing someone but the last coach to go straight from ST Coach and position coach to head coach was John Harbaugh and that's gone decent. I don't know enough to say if Judge is that kind of leader, but dismissing him because of his prior title is bogus.

Not dismissing him because of his title, but NYFG/Gettlemen have a (short) history of chasing people nobody else was chasing. When you do that you're either the smartest person in the room or the least smart, so we'll see which is which.

So the jury's out on Judge then?

I just don't like the people going crazy because he got the job over OCs like Bienemy (the lack of black coaches getting jobs is another conversation) when most of those people are too far removed to know if Judge is a worthy candidate or not. But Gettleman does not deserve the benefit of the doubt for sure.
