I suppose it depends whether you're getting the lower order sides at home or away during the first half. Not sure I agree like but there's a logic there I suppose.

Look at our home fixtures so far. We’ve played nobody, and that should have been enough to see us very much clear of trouble by now.

Dont accept that as a game always going to loose, was a massive chance to go out today get a result again been let down by having a manager who cant create attacking plays.

Then literally every match is a massive chance. Then nothing is. Forest are THE hottest team in the league, they have won 5 in a row and are 2nd on the table. A match against the #2 team is one of the 5-6 most meaningless games for our season and will have no impact on our survival compared to a match against the likes of Palace.

Mental fragility. We were always going to lose at least one of 4 straight matches against the top 5.

A team we done the double over last season and finished below us, on the back of holding the 3 strongest squads in the league to draws. Today was a massive chance to go into the new year with some confidence and pull away from the teams below us and that gets served up

Half way through the season we have played everyone apart from our postponed game. Surely this applies to all teams

That’s not why people are ‘losing their minds’. We had the easiest first half of the season in the entire league by a mile. We have completely messed it up and now we are 3 points clear of the relegation zone. Our home games 2nd half of the season include all of the top six, and there is much less chance of us being able to get out of trouble. Saying ‘we don’t do relegation’ solves absolutely nothing. It only takes one season, and once we are gone we will become a yoyo team, make no mistake. The gap between the premier league and the championship is now massive.

Thats exactly why people are losing their minds. A couple of days ago this thread was pretty quiet. Then we played a match that was an expected loss, lost, and then it goes ballistic in here. When you go from 0-100 over the course of a 1 time expected result its quiet the embarassing scene.

Just to follow up on this point..

In reality, we probably only need 7-9 points out of those three fixtures to stay up given how things are shaping up at the bottom now.

8 draws (notably Chelsea, Arsenal & Man City)
7 losses (Southampton & twice beaten when 2-0 up)
15 goals scored (2nd worst) and 24 conceded.

When is the games we should win then, can see your point but thing is we have won 3 games this season. Will agree forest in good form this season, but what about bournemouth away is that another game you dont think we should win. The simple fact is we need to pick up points because this squad is getting dropping right into trouble.
