The Now-Irrelevant 2024/25 Relegation Battle (Without Everton!)

If any of the 3 promoted teams can put a decent run together we are in big trouble. Doubt they will but results like the one Ipswich got tonight are enough to keep us worried.

Only Ipswich have anything in them. Southampton and Leicester have already used up their new manager trump card and have only got worse. Wolves's change has paid off so far.

Worry with Ipswich is they've got positive vibes and a manager everyone there loves, whereas we're in a rut under a manager nobody wants. They pretty much expect to go back down but the spirit has kept them going, a bit like Luton last season until they fell away. We need Ipswich to ultimately fall off like Luton did. That's the first game they've won at home.

One of them most likely will on the law of averages.

They've all looked terrible - worse than us. Maybe one of them will adapt better to the league in the second half of the season though. Bad times for us if that happens because we're at that point of not knowing where our next win is coming from.

Nailed it there with the Luton comparison. Very unlikely it'll click for them but if it does we are in a lot of trouble. A good spell of form for us this season seems to be 1 win in 10 but with a few draws.

It’s not been long enough to say that for sure. Some managers might take a bit of time to get things across, I think Leicester have the players to pick up points and do better.

I hope that TFG pull the trigger on Dyche tomorrow but if they don't then Saturday's game at Bournemouth must be last chance saloon for him .

After Saturday we don't play in the league until 15 January when we then have consecutive home games v Villa and Spurs.

That period interrupted only by the Peterborough FA cup game gives a new manager time to get a couple of new faces in and work with the players ahead of those crucial home games.

Leave it any later and it could be disastrous.
