Everton have wrapped up the £5.7m capture of Johnny Heitinga from Atletico Madrid after a compromise was reached on personal terms. The two clubs agreed a fee on Friday but the transfer was in doubt until this afternoon as the Dutch international considered his options. He flew to Merseyside for further talks ahead of today's 5pm transfer deadline and eventually signed on the dotted line. Ever Banega won't be leaving Valencia for Goodison, though, unless the Blues cough up €15m for the Argentine midfielder — the Spaniards aren't willing to loan him out at this stage.
