I used to use one of those to record the top 40, put it next to the radio and press play and record, happy days.
My first cassette player was similar to this. Came in a case and strap. Microphone.too

Did you use an external microphone, or the built-in one. Always picked up other sounds from around the house

Do you find yourselves making more 'old person' noises? I'm giving off little grunts and groans when I have to bend down or get on my haunches to clean something or pick something up. I give off even louder grunts and groans when I try to stand back up again. Bugger.
At first I just had it next to the radio and used the built in one, with my finger hovering over the pause button, trying not to tape the DJ, and his constant talking over the intro.

haha so did I Sunday night top 20, and try to stop it and start when the DJ was talking
These young'uns with their MP3 's and i-pods don't know what they're missing
