The Oldies Thread

Its not the same mate.

Shame that, as I genuinely enjoyed most of that show.. Some I never really got like.. a bit like Vic Reeves Big Night Out... But even today I dont get Keith Lemon, so my personal sense of humour must be different from the norm..
Some of the Fast Show lads have done ok out of the game..

I enjoyed Spitting Image, at the start, it became painfully unfunny near the end.

The characters went out of politics towards the end though.
Thatcher and Reagan were comedy gold..
Michael Hesletine's ' Blond man ' was also very good..

( Going right back there like ! )

Rik Mayall in The New Statesman was also a brilliantly accurate carracture of modern politics..

Comic strip was hit and miss but could be very hit.

Vic Reeves was quite funny and the first few series of shooting stars were sensational.

Keith Lemon is a cnut.

I listened to an interview with Alexi Sayle on 5 live yesterday, cant believe just how few episodes of the Young Ones were made.

is right,,,, i remember getting 10 lamberts for 63p or ten Benny Hedgehogs for 70p...... tough times ladzzz

...my days go back to before decimalisation so I'd better log out before I embarrass myself talking about a bucket load of ale and a night in the Grafton for a quid. They switch the lights out at 8pm in this home!!
