Started a favourites thread.. made reference to the fast show.. not many heard of it ?
Surely this still stands up today and gets repeated ?

Shame that, as I genuinely enjoyed most of that show.. Some I never really got like.. a bit like Vic Reeves Big Night Out... But even today I dont get Keith Lemon, so my personal sense of humour must be different from the norm..
Some of the Fast Show lads have done ok out of the game..

I enjoyed Spitting Image, at the start, it became painfully unfunny near the end.

The characters went out of politics towards the end though.
Thatcher and Reagan were comedy gold..
Michael Hesletine's ' Blond man ' was also very good..

Rik Mayall in The New Statesman was also a brilliantly accurate carracture of modern politics..

I listened to an interview with Alexi Sayle on 5 live yesterday, cant believe just how few episodes of the Young Ones were made.

Yeah just 12 episodes, some f that is still hilarious, other bits have dated horribly

Nothing will ever beat the young ones. As a kid it was as good as it gets. Classic.
