…spot on. Eamon Andrews in the pic, I remember another presenter called Peter Glaze (I think). Leslie Crowther, Michael Aspel also.
Yep Aspel took over as the MC.
I think Eamon fell out with the BBC and went to ITV
Crowther and Glaze were more or less like session musicians but Session Clown/Comedians...and of the pier style
But a jobs a job and it was on TV
Crackerjack (via the BBC??) got all the top groups on
I can still remember Andrews doing Sports report on the radio at 5.00 when we won the league in 63.
He seemed to be on everything at the time.

….he was, I recall Andrews doing major boxing matches in 60s and later times with ‘This is Your Life’.

Eamonn was one of many real TV pros in those days, like Bruce Forsyth or David Jacobs. They could turn their hand to anything and they'd lived a bit too.
