"Its because I the board is too cheap to hand over another 100M to buy more players that we drew."

"Where's the buffett"

"I'm only really worried about Marsaille"

Personally the result puts last weeks win into perspective tbh, stoke will go down of that i'm sure..but they wont go down easily

LOL STOKE! HIP HIP HUZZAH!
seriously, they defended over 20 corners and a tonne of free kicks! Dont know why they disallowed Gerrards goal but about time one of the sky 4 got some rough treatment from the refs.
Damn solid defensive effort from stoke it has to be said. Was hoping for a few more throws from rocket arm Rory, but ill take this for sure.
Torres was offside when the freekick was taken. He didn't touch the ball but was in the direction the ball took and therefore was judged to interfere with the play.

Had a great day yesterday, I still can't believe we came away with a draw, I'd got us down for a 4-0 thumping in my prediction league.

What made the day all the better was because it was against that bunch of disrespectful, arrogant, glory hunting gob-shites.

Before we played Everton I was reading this forum and registered to join in the discussion. There was mutual respect from all posters and the post match discussion was fair and objective. It's obvious you lot know your football and show some respect for those of us who choose to follow our local club. This is in stark contrast to the arrogant bile you get on the red [Poor language removed] forums.

I couldn't belive how quiet the red [Poor language removed] were, Stoke fans were immense and never shut up for 90 minutes. My six year old lad was knackered at the end, he sang his little head off .

The red [Poor language removed] threw everything at us, it was like the Alamo at times, but Stoke defended like their lives depended on it, Stoke won't roll over and die for nobody.

Apart from the result the highlight of the day was 3000 Stoke fans belting out "You're just a fat Spanish waiter!"

Good luck today, wipe the smile off Tango Man's face for us.

Good result for you yesterday. Just a shame you didnt do them cos some of the arrogant bastards I work with would have phoned in sick last night. Well they turned up for work but they didnt have much to say. And yes your right we as Evertonians know our football and arent like the glory hunting turds you so commonly find on the other side of the park. You'll always find a warm welcome in here. I think Stoke City will be ok but things will get harder as the season goes on so theyre gonna need as many points early on as they can get and yesterday's point will go a long way towards giving your players confidence in themselves. Take it staedy.

I've looked at the post match thread on one of their forums and there's about 30 odd pages of moaning, whinging, childish comment, the jist of which is how dare a team like Stoke turn up and have the audacity not let the red [Poor language removed] win.

There's even a comment from some knob jockey who starts off by saying he didn't go to the game and then proceeds to analyse the game. Pure comedy genius!

Thanks for the words of encouragement and you're right, it will get harder. From what I've seen already I think we'll give it our best shot which is all we can ask for. Our start has been pretty tough with the likes of Villa, Everton, the red [Poor language removed] and Chelsea at home next week. The first thing we've learnt is that defensively you've got give it 90 minutes, 100% concentration. Premier League forwards think and react so much quicker, the 3 you scored last week were prime examples of this. From what I saw yesterday we maybe beginning to learn the lesson.

I was pleased how we fought back v Everton and I'm sure that there are other teams that don't have the back bone of Everton that we can get points off with similar performances.

Looking forward to visiting Goodison with my lad, it's a good few years since I've been (over 20 years in fact.)

Got a feeling Stoke might just survive. Big physical side and im sure they can eek out points this season. Going to be close, but can see them just surviving. Certainly puts our win against them last week into some context as well.

A user comment from Sky Sports:

Once again the referee made an unforgivable mistake in disallowing a perfectly legitimate goal that Steven Gerard scored. Had the goal been allowed to stand, Stoke City I believe would not have been able to get anything from a match that Liverpool so overwhelmingly dominated. At the end of the season, the two points that Liverpool lost may cost them from anything from a Champions League place to the Premiership Title. It makes me wonder if the English Premiership referees will ever learn from the astonishing mistakes they made and what, if anything on earth, can make the FA consider video replays in deciding whether a goal is valid.

 Deary me, the delusion here is off the scale!
