Now I'm an old fart I see how infantalised society has made people even into their 30s with their sweet drinks and (surely faux) excitability. I see adults eating (and getting excited about) haribo ffs.

I gave up drinking diet pop about 3 months a go. Full fat pop I gave up years back.
I found after a while my cravings for sweet things declined massively, due to not taking in huge amounts of sweeteners.
My replacement drink is now orange/lemon cordial with carbonated water. There's no sweeteners in the water and with the cordial they taste like orange/lemon Fanta! Great replacements. Plus now I find my snacks instead of sweets and chocolate are more like nuts and seeds etc..
Yes, I'm on a diet.. lol
