Is shaking hands a contractual obligation now?

The optics are poor, but are we expected, or led to thinking or assuming this is an act of misogyny? Such a popular word to use. Could it, instead, be a personal grievance between professionals? Could it have been something said? Maybe even a date that ended badly? There may be other reasons for this, there may be not.

I don't know- but we shouldn't be so easily led to believe that all actions are necessarily misogynistic.
