I work with electric trains as in tech support for drivers and drive them myself. So I have unfortunately no idea of the implications of tighter sulfur regs . Theres a few low emission areas around so the hfo ships going into them carry low sulphur fuel that they switch to in those places. Supposedly the whole world was supposed to switch to that ratio in 2020 of 0.1% I think, but last I heard the money men fought back and that will get pushed back.I work with electric trains as in tech support for drivers and drive them myself. There's a continuous debate going on in Norway about cruiseships in the fjords. Makes these small villages appear like major cities when it comes to pollutionRead somewhere that Southampton city council was putting a ULEZ in for motor vehicles when in actual fact the pollution is down to all the cruise ships. They won’t impose any rules on the ships though as they bring so much business to the town.
These are the vested interests that green campaigners are up against all the time.
Anyways;
