That song. That damn song!
I was enjoying a quiet Sunday afternoon on my boat some years back. Across the river a country pub often had a band playing in the garden. This one particular day a jazz band was making a reasonable go at banging out a few favourites, that were intermittently ruined when their singer (- a young lady who had obviously been kindly encouraged that she could, after all, sing - 'go on love, live your dream, you're special, oh well done you were magnificent, you are woman- do as you please,' kind of thing) took to the stage. It was her falsely confident semitone sharp screaching performance of this song that had me thinking "not if I had a sniper rifle right now you wouldn't."
