The PSG 'project'

Hate PSG. Ruined French domestic football in what used to be a competitive league

Was it better? I only noticed it ages ago when Marseille had Papin, and then Waddle and Pele played there too. Also remember the Monaco team of more recent years, which then ended up being a feeder for Real, PSG and Bayern, and later the Premier League too. It's a shame that at least Monaco, Marseilles, Nice are not able to compete with PSG. I recall even Lyon, St Etienne and Lens used to have half-decent teams! Oh well

It's grand seeing still today these bloodsoaked sportwash petro dollar teams constantly failing in the CL.

PSG have the highest commercial revenues in World Football at £364 million a year, they also have the 2nd highest matchday revenue for a stadium that holds 46k.

Like The Cheats in Manchester with the 2nd highest commercial revenues in at £340 million a year, how much can the despotic regimes keep wasting money chasing a holy grail, no wonder QSI are pulling out of Paris in 2026. PSG has been a monumental colossal waste of money, winning farmer's league titles with a wage bill of £700 million a year haha, God Knows how Much City's real wage bill is, with the Image rights being paid illegally in a Carribean tax haven, hopefully another season without the CL being tainted by human rights warmongering blood money clubs holding it aloft is a victory to Football.

Why?

They're sat on the richest talent production line in the world and it's absolutely wasted on them.

Mbappe, Pogba, Rabiot, Nkunku, Kante, Coman, Martial etc etc, it's absolutely insane. I hope they implode.

They wont be arsed, if you think this is about competitive football, you haven't been keeping up.

I don't take any of these clubs seriously to be honest. I mean City arent City anymore, Chelsea arent Chelsea, Newcastle wont be Newcastle soon - PSG - were never a big European heavy weight. They are all just like new clubs.

I dont know if id want Everton to go that way, would take the fun out of it.

I didn't really enjoy when Moshiri first came in and we could spend.

Didn't Lyon win like 9 in a row right before PSG?
Lyon did it through legit means by being self sufficient and using there famed academy and clever recruitment mainly from the Brazilian market.

PSG have killed the competition in Ligue 1 making a mockery of it.

Funny that Lyon was the benchmark club in Europe for the women's game with their multiple CL wins recently, seems they can't do it in the men's with PSG around so put a sizeable budget in the Women's game with the same principles that made them dominate Ligue 1 pre Petro Dollar PSG.

QSI were pretty stupid buying a Ligue 1 team, what a waste of money!!!

Ridiculous the talent pool in Paris from the mid 90's, a constant conveyor belt churned out with no sign in stopping.

How PSG just ignored that talent pool from 2010 is laughable, they'd rather buy show ponies and big names.

The names that they've got rid of from their academy would make a very decent European side on their own.. maignan, Nkunku, Diaby, Coman, Guendouzi, Rabiot amongst others. Basically the best city alongside London for kids coming through

The French league is a better level than the German league.
By what metric?

CL last 16 this year:
France 1 team
Germany 4 teams

Europa league last 16 this year:
France 0 teams
Germany 3 teams

Personally don’t think it’s even close. France’s flagship team, who walk the league most seasons, have only managed to get to one European final in the last 20 years
