There is far too much toxic negativity in this place. Bitterness, resentment even, toward fellow blues and those who support opposing teams.
At the end of the day, footy is just a game. There are much more important things in life.
Thoughts are things. Maybe the reason Everton have had more than their fair share of bad luck over the years is that their fanbase, which is a collective consciousness, expect the worst to happen all the time. There is so much heaviness and aggressiveness between the fans here.
Even if Everton won the league, it wouldn't have an effect on my personal life. Sure, I'd be happy for a couple of weeks, but eventually, it fades like all other transitory experiences in this world. Put things into perspective and do other things you're passionate about. Imagining who we're going to bring in when Carlo and Brands has said there are no incomings is a bit sad.
I wish you all the best of luck in your future endeavours, and I hope you lot can begin to be a bit more optimistic, not only about Everton's future, but your own as well.
