The Reason I'm Departing from This Forum

There is far too much toxic negativity in this place. Bitterness, resentment even, toward fellow blues and those who support opposing teams.

At the end of the day, footy is just a game. There are much more important things in life.

Thoughts are things. Maybe the reason Everton have had more than their fair share of bad luck over the years is that their fanbase, which is a collective consciousness, expect the worst to happen all the time. There is so much heaviness and aggressiveness between the fans here.

Even if Everton won the league, it wouldn't have an effect on my personal life. Sure, I'd be happy for a couple of weeks, but eventually, it fades like all other transitory experiences in this world. Put things into perspective and do other things you're passionate about. Imagining who we're going to bring in when Carlo and Brands has said there are no incomings is a bit sad.

I wish you all the best of luck in your future endeavours, and I hope you lot can begin to be a bit more optimistic, not only about Everton's future, but your own as well.

Rei Rei out.

Lad's obviously never read a match preview thread for the next game following a win. Full of bold 4-0 Ebepton predictions and Spirit Of The Blues meme vids.

And I'm pretty sure we collectively reckoned Bilyaletdinov was gonna be sound.

From nothing to going GOT viral in one thread.

You got to give it to this Kurly lad. He's gone full ultra GOTmeme.

Farewell sweet Prince.

Never remembered but will never be forgotten ar the same time.
He's gone out like Ringo Starr. Drummer in one of the all time biggest bands, but will ultimately be remembered as the voice of Thomas the tank engine.

You sure it was Kenshin mate, he actually seemed to be fairly intelligent!

There are times when I need to take a break from all that's Everton related for a while, either because I'm just fed up with it all, or the more important things in life do intervene. So I might disappear for a week or maybe even two.

But I have been here for almost 5 years. I don't engage in a great deal of banter, and I try to be as respectful as I can.

I have had some great discussions and interactions here with fellow blues, mostly on football.

But, far more than that, I have been shown empathy and support, sometimes when there was no other source of it apparent.

The mental health section of this forum is a shining light in my online world, and it has been the same for many many others. It should be a source of strength and pride for anyone who has had any interaction.

Good luck mate, you're right, there are more important things than football/Everton. You may come back some time.

Mate, You could have posted that at bluemoon, RAWK or any of the other football forums.

Shame. Should have just taken everyones posts like a pinch of salt, much more fun that way. This is the internet afterall.

I mean, I think Everton is on a hiding to nowhere, I barely feel like talking about them, and God knows what happens to the club if anyone ever cracks down on Russian money laundering... but I wouldn’t come in here and announce that I’m Leaving This Message Board Forever. I would just leave.

Exactly the reason I stay in the forum.
