I can't see it happening and tbh I'd still be annoyed.

It's a plaster solution. I hated Dyche's footy as much as anyone. Moyes is unlikely to wave a magic wand and have this squad looking much different until the end of the season and just brings a pile of distractions and disputes with the support

There lies the issue.

Clamouring for Dyche to be sacked due to the brand of football...to then employ a similar manager with a better hit rate.

I take it the owners were put into a position to fire him...but to then go to Moyes isn't entirely saying "free flowing football"

No. West Ham binned him off twice for good reason. There's plenty of managers of of contract and he'd be bracketed with O'Neil/Lopetegui.

He was due to come back last time too until Ancelotti become available.

He biggest driver of it is solely his connection with the club. It's like Ranieri at Roma.
Who has stabilised a potential crisis situation and has them getting good results in all competitions.

I don't think there could be a single move, other than bringing back Benitez, that would more effectively destroy my faith in us ever being anything other than what we have been since Kenwright took us over.

It's just the least ambitious thing I can think of and a clear statement of "See look we get the fans" while being miles wide of the mark.

We don't need free flowing football, we just need better football and a plan to score goals and win games.

Dyche has been sacked because of results. The dire football is only a factor because the results are terrible.

I get told off for using this word

We’ve made every type of managerial decision possible since Moyes .

Hollywood appointments from Moshiri: Ancelotti, Benitez, Koeman

Progressive up and comers: Silva, Lampard, Martinez

Pragmatists: Allardyce, Dyche

They’ve mostly all ended up going the same way with the players either giving up or just reverting to nothing football

At least the pragmatists kept the back door shut if nothing else

It'll be Moyes mate because this club exists to do nothing but to terror me.

Just when I thought we were coming to the end of the tunnel of a rotten few years, a summer to rebuild. In steps Moyes to lead us out at Bramley Moore. Urgh.
Would you be more positive if it was moyes and carsley with the view to carsley taking over afterwards? That shows more future planning to me

If hes it for now so be it... but if someone else comes available that can kick us on in the next year or 2, you'd like to think the owners are ruthless enough to take the opportunity

It’s probably the most boring choice we could’ve gone for, but probably a necessary evil, given the hole Dyche has dug us in.

I’m convinced they’d have gone for someone a bit more bold if we could’ve waited until summer, or if we didn’t find ourselves dangerously close to the drop zone.
