I wanted like all of us Dyche gone longterm, but really thought we would muster safety regardless. I also thought that to set up the best transition, setting up shop in regards to our DoF and backroom to then execute and seek out a specific profile manager and recruitment strategy come may/june was a great opportunity. I still wish we'd done that. But the logic from the Friedkins is also clear.

First fans will welcome Moyes's candor and fan appreciation and the new owners will get some credit in turn. I think its not all that much of a tactical detorrent from Dyche but with more end product and broadly improved, thus will likely lead to safety. I wouldnt be shocked a bit if we climb midtable even by next year.

What worries me though is the likelihood that this deters from setting up an empowered DoF model. I look at Moshiri's tenure and above all other failures was recruitment. I think if Brands was emboldened we may be in a completely reality. What happened instead was managers dictating transfer policies despite it being a revolving door.

This summer's squad turnover is immense. Moyes has proven his acumen even still in the market but his ability is relative to him. How we transition after him tactically and with the squad he leaves us I am dubious of. It makes me think when he leaves we may be in a very similar situation we would have been in this summer, although now with less flexibility.

Thus I question the longevity and precedent especially when compared to how so many other clubs currently our run. That said all the best of luck to him and welcome back.

I've been on record as wanting it myself.

But seeing Villa, Newcastle, Forest, Bournemouth all kick on and do something in short time frames, makes me want to at least try.

I dint see it with Moyes, I've got all the scarring from the first time and I just think he's got a plethora of excuses waiting for if it goes belly up

Three of those four have spent hundreds of millions

I'm shocked that more than not are unhappy with moyes back. He's by far the best option available
