The Seating at Goodison Park

Hello,

I'm looking to go to my first Everton game at Goodison for the Burnley match.

I know that the views at Goodison are notorious/infamous for poor sight lines due to restricted views.

I'm hoping that I can get advice on which rows start to become restricted and which rows I should be aiming for.

Ideally, I would like to be in the Lower Gwladys Street end, but I'm willing to sit elsewhere. Ultimately, I just don't to travel all the way to England and barely see the match.

Any advice will be helpful, thanks.
You wont be sitting in the lower standing only

its about the overall experience

This is considered a decent seat in LB

That's disgusting - on the ground tour seeing all the seats just ruined Goodison for me - the old standing on any terrace apart from the boys pen Goodison was far better - if my late father could only get grandstand tickets to be sat down etc as a young boy hated it too costly crap views even back then - as soon as the blues attacked everyone would stand up obliterating views even back then ...

We know why it was all installed & the team over the park KOP end stand up in any rate ... ironically

Definitely not what I wanted to hear, ugh. After so many years of trying to get over from the U.S. for a game, I finally managed to snag a ticket to the derby this morning, but at 5am my time and on 3 hours of sleep and rushing before it sold out, I wasn't really capable of thinking it through too much, so I basically just got the first decent (or so I thought) seat I could grab that wasn't marked "restricted view". Turns out it's LB4 row M. So sounds like I'm basically screwed, ha.

I tried to get one in the Paddock but the only thing available there was resale (same as in the Park End, I think), and for some reason, it wouldn't let me buy a resale ticket. Only first-issue tickets.
Wouldn’t let me buy resale seats either and then it sold it out.

Not sure if you have joined the membership scheme - think you have to be in it to buy re-sale tickets these days.

You’ll see the pitch fine, just hope that we don’t kick the ball in the air 😊

Yeah, that sucked. All of the "best" seats were resale, and it just wouldn't work. So I went from Paddock to Upper Bullens and had one there in my cart (UB4 row Q, I think?), but then in my stupid American instincts (and again, running mentally on empty and not remembering pictures I'd seen, etc.) I thought, well, usually seats closer to the field are better. So I switched it out.

I know I should just be happy to be in the ground at all for a match like that, but I do wish I could have seen this thread before this morning.

I'm sure it's going to get moved to a different date, so I'm hoping it gets rescheduled for April 24th, and then there'd be three home games in a week, which would give me hopefully two more chances to get better viewing experiences while I'm there.

Yeah, I'm an international member, and I had bought a ticket to the Arsenal match earlier in the season (didn't make it over due to family reasons, etc.), which is why I was able to get into the sale this morning, as it was that restricted as far as I know.

No trouble buying resale tickets to other matches if I wanted, but not this one for some reason.

If you find yourself desperate to upgrade, keep an eye on the match ticket thread on here - alternatively for a big game there will always be scallies outside the ground selling tickets.

If you want Lower Gwladys and you can get block GT8 from row W back to about row EE you will have a great view. It's the last block in the corner towards the Bullens Road side.

Thanks for the tip. If it does get moved to that week in April, I'd actually plan on going to the Forest game first - hopefully with a better seat after seeing this thread - and get a good idea of what I'd be in for and then see how big a problem it would really be.

I'm sure by that point, I'll just be so happy to be at Goodison at all that it will take the sting out a bit, ha. First-world problems and all...

Is there any greater feeling that scouting further down for a space, and seeing someone has had a breakdown on the M57 and you can just scoot in and watch the game knowing where the ball is when kicked above head height o Beth far side of the pitch??
Definitely! It’s like a dark hole in there, you never know if it’s day or night! Thoroughly depressing place even without our recent footie!
