Currently on day 2 of the silent treatment, for some imaginary domestic crime, committed against womanhood.

Which coincidentally has coincided with a delay in her HRT treatment.

I’m a master at riding this out and just carry on as normal.

I’m waiting for the inevitable explosion, which follows when she comes to the realisation, that it‘s not working.

What’s the longest you’ve ever had to endure the dog house for ?

I expect @john jako and his dart board to feature heavily in any discussion.

Not having microscopic vision, that can spot dirt on the floor and also not being arsed about it in the slightest anyway.
old toothbrush job, clean the area within a micron of it's life. take your sweet time, especially if it gets in the way of something else ;)

After a weekend of silent treatment I thought I'd be clever and call her bluff by coming back on the Monday after work and packing some stuff up, thought that would shock her out of her sulk, turns out that angered her quite a lot more and she told me to [Poor language removed]. I was too stubborn to admit my mistake so moved out for a few weeks.

@COYBL25 the ones you genuinely don’t know what you done are by far the worst. I can only sympathise with you at the moment. Flowers from Asda don’t cut it for me anymore. I’m onto puppies and ikea furniture of ways to make it up.

I’ve also done what @Bungle has done. Not actually taking it as far as moving out for weeks but I’ve tried to call bluffs and make it all into a joke. Doesn’t work. Just gotta swing with the punches and secret drink your way through it.

Godspeed mate.

My favourite part of this game, is when the original argument becomes a minor issue, compared to the sulk and it becomes a straight forward battle of wills.

I put a stop to any arguments or silent treatments about 6-7 years a go. We'd go a week not speaking. It was a terrible thing to do. The kids saw it and everything.

I just said to her, enough's a enough. Most of the time it was my fault, so now I've learned to bite my tongue and not say what I think. Also now when we disagree (very rarely) I am the bigger person and apologise so we talk again straight away..

In all honesty we've not argued or fallen out for a very long time, and life is better for it.. ;)
