£12m for Long is madness, but they're obviously going for a like for like for Rodriguez now he's out for the foreseeable.
Jelavic will be Hull's main man now, got to deliver.
Chelsea would be daft to sell schurrle. the lad is quality.
Utd looking to buy Marcos Rojo

This has the look of the whole Herrara fiasco they did last season under Moyes - a complicated deal they only started to negotiate late on in the transfer window. Given that they let Rio & Vidic go over the summer and the injury history of their remaining CBs I've no idea why they were not lining up deals for defenders far earlier. vermaelen was an option but given Arsenal/United transfer history surely not a surprise that deal fell through. So it turns out Rojo's 75% owned by a management company. Their deal with Sporting means that they are owed 75% of any OFFER that comes in so they need to pay £12mil even if he doesn't move.
Sporting say they've terminated the deal so it sounds like it's going to get messy.

FIFA should just ban 3rd party ownership altogether
