He won't even come close to that type of spending now until next August

But then they'll win 2 or 3 games at the end of the season to clinch 4th and they'll be happy again
The fact that the world's top players and managers would likely not be desperate to flock there would maybe help convince them that they were better of sticking with Wenger and his regular 4th place finishes and Champions League Group Qualifications
Arsenal fans act all big and talk like they should be winning everything under the sun, but deep down they know that they aren't remotely close to challenging the games elite. They've finished 4th so much because that's ultimately what they are, the 4th best team in England during any given season. Deep down they know that Wenger has taken them as far as he can and that he isn't adaptable enough to keep up with City, Chelsea and even Liverpool to mount a succesful pursuit to the top of the mountain.
They'll have a good run up till March and then the injuries will kick in, as they always do, and they'll finish well off the pace

And he needs more time. Playing three at the back, when you're weak in that position having lost Vidic and Rio. And then not signing anyone there either.
Oh well, if he goes that more short-sighted management, which will delay recovery longer. Good for us.
