'On 6 November 2011, Alcaraz caused widespread controversy when replays showed him spitting at Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Richard Stearman during Wigan's 1–3 defeat at Molineux Stadium,[SUP][6][/SUP] and served a three-game suspension due to his actions.[SUP][7][/SUP] He later issued an apology.[SUP][8]'

FOOK RIGHT OFF.[/SUP]
30 year old injury prone average centre half who spits at people?

Terrific start Bobby old son, terrific start.

I wouldnt say he's injury prone. He just had one unlucky season with injuries. As for the spitting, that isn't acceptable but people do make mistakes. That said if he does anything like that at Everton he will not be here long.

He's coming here to take Heitinga's place on the bench when we sell him and leave ourselves two and a half million pounds a year better off.

Two and a half million pounds saved that could be used to improve areas that are really in need of improving.

No problems here with this signing.

I think the priority should be signing good players, not cheap players.

He's good enough for back up, and wastes less money than Heitinga. He is better in the air than Heitinga, is more physical and is a better marker. For a back up it makes a lot more sense so we can save heitingas 50k wages for someone of more importance.

Presumably the people who can don't think he's good enough.

He's not as bad as people make out.
I trust Wigan fans judgement over our own and i know a few who said if he had been fit all season, they would have stayed up. He said that with 100% confidence as well.

Don't forget he's minimum £30k a week in wages, probably more as he's a free. Not saving much in wages.
