How many 'decent' players have they got excited over signed and ruined? or sold at a loss?
Sahin, immediatly springs to mind. They just sold a £20m winger to West Ham ( arguably a competitor for 6th/7th/8th like Everton and Liverpool currently are, and maybe will be.
As well as a £35m striker for a loss.
I can't get excited by any player going to Liverpool, at all. They signed Torres, i was slightly excited by his signing - but after that, they sign utter gash players who implode.

But it happens every season mate. Keeping Baines and felli (not guaranteed) is just as important as a new glamour name.
Forget the Kenwright argument, we cant do anything about that. I agree we might go backwards and probably will this year with a new manager, but without investment what can we do?

Held back massively by Moyes I think. And when fit Mancini used to give him a lot of playing time, which when you consider the players at his disposal tells you everything you need to know.
If he can stay fit (big if!), that £12 - 15M will look like astoundingly good business in years to come. Feel free to quote me on that one.
